ALTERED
BOOK WORKSHOP
Thursday,
April 16th at 6:00 p.m
Two
years ago the Pottsville Library teamed up with the Friends of the
Library to hold a series of workshops on altered art projects using
books. The participants in the program learned a new craft and had
a great time doing it.
One of the original
artists, Madlen Piccioni, will present the program demonstrating
this exciting medium. The program, An Introduction to Altered Books
Art Projects, will help you to get started on your own Altered Book
project. Madlen will have some examples of her work to show you
and she will demonstrate the techniques used to turn an old book
into a meaningful art project. The
workshop is free, but please call the Library to register so we
can be prepared. We will provide the old books. Bring a ruler and
a curious mind."
