12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Book Signing

Stephen Pytak, author of The .40 Caliber Mousehunt, will be selling and signing copies of his novel at the Pottsville Free Public Library. He will also bring a preview of art for his novel in development, The Wild Damned.
   

3 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Live Music

An exquisite array of musicians will play live outdoors at Centre & Market Streets. Performers include Nick Meyer, Pat Burns, Sherry Marchefsky, Jason Knorr, JP, Tim Harakal, Soji, Mike Narvaez, and Nigatar. At 9:30, the music continues at Hucklebucks.

Jose Guedez was born in Barquísimeto, Lara State in Venezuela, on May 14th, 1968. In 1984 he studied in the school of Art “Martin Tovar and Tovar” in his native city. Between 1986 and 1989, he studied in the school of Plastic Arts “Cristóbal Rojas” of Caracas. He has received the following recognitions: Prize “Interchange” in Maracay, Venezuela; Prize “Salon Nacional Carúpano”; and Special Mention Salon Aragua de Maracay.

Since 1987, his work has been shown in more than thirty seven exhibits, including the following:
2009 "Dialogo 365" Arts at the CRANE - Philadelphia PA USA; 2009 "Colores del Sur" Chelsea New York, New York; 2002 Galería Mexico de Chicago. Chicago, Illinois, U.S.A.; 2001 Salón “Pirelli”, Museo de Arte Contemporaneo “Sofía Imber”. Caracas, Venezuela.
